Condemning “violence against women” after being criticized on Twitter for liking a tweet describing Mason Greenwood as an “innocent man”.
Charges of attempted rape, controlling and coercive conduct against Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood, as well as a charge of assault causing actual bodily harm to him, were dropped on Thursday, a year after his arrest.
But Neville faced criticism online for liking former North West England chief prosecutor Nazir Afzal’s tweet declaring Greenwood’s innocence – which he admitted was “clumsy behaviour”.
