FIFA accused the South American players of violating Articles 11 (offensive conduct and violation of the principles of fair play) and 12 (misconduct by players and officials) of the disciplinary code.
FIFA did not mandate any specific behavior in the official document, but goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez was particularly conspicuous when he waved his golden glove in an inelegant manner during the awards ceremony.
As for the Croats, FIFA is looking into their possible non-respect of Articles 13 (Discrimination) and 16 (Order of Match and Safety).
The meeting also did not mention any facts, although videos circulated on social networks after the meeting showed Croatian players singing nationalist songs with fascist overtones.
