Although he helped Real Madrid win many honors, Bell had a tense relationship with Real Madrid fans and the media in the later period because of his attitude. In the summer of 2020, Bell returned to Tottenham on loan. A year later, Bell, who returned to Real Madrid, still failed to get a chance to play. In the summer of 2022, after ending his contract with Real Madrid, Bell will freely join Los Angeles FC.
For the national team, Bell played 111 games and scored 40 goals, ranking first in team history in both statistics. In 2016, Bell led Wales to the semi-finals of the European Cup. In 2022, Bell will help Wales reach the World Cup finals again after 64 years. But Wales underperformed at the World Cup, finishing bottom of the group.
